Which One of These Cannabis Startups Will Canopy Rivers Award 'Best Pitch'?

If you had six minutes to pitch the biggest names in the cannabis industry, what would you say?

At the 2018 International Cannabis Business Conference in Vancouver, judges Mat Beren (veteran cannabis grower and consultant), Kirk Tousaw (attorney and advocate), Olivier Dufourmantelle (COO of Canopy Rivers) and Hilary Black (Director of Patient Education and Advocacy at Canopy Rivers) watched as representatives of "micro" cannabis companies made their pitches.

As cannabis legislation and regulation evolves in Canada, more and more entrepreneurs from varied backgrounds are entering the industry. And as the cannabis boom keeps growing, the number of new entrants into the industry will continue to grow exponentially.

At stake was the potential for one million dollars in seed capital for the company that best embodied the theme of "Micro Cannabis, Macro Impact”. Check out the video below to see who walked away with the prize.

If you're looking for therapeutic relief, without getting high, you may be a candidate for cannabis topical salves. Making a salve is a rather simple process, so long as you're not infusing it with impurities or extraneous chemicals. Papa & Barkley sources its cannabis, for its line of CBD and THC topicals, from artisanal family farmers in Humboldt, where the company is based.
