Executives in the cannabis industry are defying stoner stereotypes, according to a new chart by the Marijuana Business Daily.
A recent survey of 577 cannabis industry professionals showed 87 percent of managers in the industry have completed a post-secondary degree or certificate program - much higher than in non-cannabis industry management roles, where just 68 percent had attained that level of education according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Testing labs lead the cannabis sector in education levels, where nine out of 10 senior level employees (89 percent) hold a bachelor's degree or higher. Thirty-three percent hold a Ph.D or other post-graduate degree.
