As America’s cannabis industry continues to expand, the ever-growing body of information out there can start to feel a little overwhelming – especially if you’re a newcomer to the cannabis community.

The second annual Cannabis Health Summit – hosted by Green Flower Media – aims to help make that knowledge more accessible than ever.

Slated for Sept. 16 at 9 a.m. Pacific time, the two-day online event will bring together more than 30 renowned cannabis health experts, authors, icons, entrepreneurs, athletes, physicians and scientists to discuss the latest in cutting-edge cannabis research, trends and innovations.

“Our main goal in creating these summits is to bring all the knowledge into one place so you don’t have to run around all over the place [looking for sources] that may not even be trustworthy,” Erin Caires, affiliate manager with Green Flower Media, told Civilized.

“We wanted it to be accessible as possible [by allowing] people to simply sit at their computers, watch the event and then be able to talk about cannabis intelligently with someone who may have opposing views or who may want to try cannabis but isn’t sure how or where to start.”

The event is geared toward a wide range of cannabis enthusiasts, said Caires. Whether you’re a seasoned cultivator, a healthcare practitioner, a cannabis patient, a casual consumer or you’re simply curious about cannabis, the event will “help you unlock the healing powers of this miraculous plant and is guaranteed to raise your cannabis IQ exponentially.”

Subjects tackled over the course of numerous talks and panels will include the history of medical cannabis, the ins and outs of the endocannabinoid system, cooking with cannabis, cannabis for pets, the effects of different cannabis strains, marijuana’s creative potential and the pros and cons of various cannabis delivery methods.

“We’re trying to break all this down into layman’s terms, basically,” said Caires.

“There are so many people out there who just don’t even know that cannabis can help them, and they’re too scared to ask about it because there’s still so much of a stigma ... We want to break down those barriers and help people understand why cannabis works, how it works and what it can help with.”

The free event is being live-streamed from Ventura, CA.  You can watch the whole thing in real time by registering here, after which you’ll be able to login to your private members area.
