“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” first premiered on the WB 20 years ago. That’s right, two full decades. Even though the WB no longer exists and the cast can no longer pass as high schoolers, “Buffy” continues to influence fans. They even took to Twitter to express their love of the show, followed by the hashtag “#buffyslays20”. Even Sarah Michelle Gellar herself posted on Twitter and Instagram to thank all her fans and supporters. Although creator Joss Whedon now has several film credits, he’s most notable for “Buffy” and its forward thinking with female characters leading the way.
