'Broad City' Stars To Perform A Live Reading Of Wayne's World In San Francisco

Broad City's Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer will perform a live reading of the Wayne’s World screenplay in honor of the cult classic’s 25th anniversary, and all we can (rather predictably, sorry) say is: Party time! Excellent!

The performance will take place June 3 at the interactive comedy and music festival Colossal Clusterfest in San Francisco.

Glazer will don the role of Wayne to Jacobson’s Garth, while other participants will include Tia Carrere (reprising her role as Wayne’s love interest Cassandra) and Tig Notaro (as Rob Lowe’s character Benjamin Kane), along with Ron Funches, John Michael Higgins, Moshe Kasher, Janet Varney, and Chris Gethard.

All-women Queen tribute band The Killer Queens is set to provide a live soundtrack.

Colossal Clusterfest runs June 2-4 at San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza and Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. The festival will include sets by Jerry Seinfeld, Ice Cube, Sarah Silverman & Friends, Tegan and Sara, Hannibal Buress and Vince Staples.
