Black Market Cannabis Takes Hit In Legal States

September stats released by the Marijuana Business Daily suggest the black market for cannabis is taking a hit in legal states.

Researcher and industry analyst Becky Olson writes that 31 percent of the users surveyed in legal states buy either from licensed businesses or grow their own. Of those surveyed, 16 percent reported buying cannabis both legally and from the black market. Another 17 percent said they used the black market alone.

Olsen says in states where cannabis remains illegal, nearly 90 percent of medical and recreational users obtain cannabis through black market dealers.

Here's the chart - you can read Olson's full analysis here.

We can pretty much guarantee that consuming cannabis on Mars would be a hell of a lot different than smoking up on Earth. OK, so we know from science experts like Neil deGrasse Tyson that smoking weed in space probably isn't a very good idea. Space exploration is an incredibly complex and difficult process, so you definitely don't want to accidentally mess something up just because you got too high.
