Amazon Prime is Offering Free Beer and Wine Deliveries, But Only in Two Cities

Amazon is becoming more and more entrenched in American lives, and it may start affecting their drinking habits as well.

Prime Now, Amazon's same-day delivery service, is offering free delivery on beer and wine deliveries but only in two Florida cities, Orlando and Miami. Technically, you have to already subscribe to Amazon Prime, which costs $119 per year. But if you already have Prime, then you might as well take advantage of the free beer and wine deliveries.

Don't think this is a 24/7 service though. The alcohol delivery is only available between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays. But honestly, if you need alcohol delivery available to you 24 hours a day, then you might have a drinking problem.

Amazon seems to be really going after the Florida market. Last week they announced that Prime customers will also get 10 percent off their purchases at Whole Foods markets, and while the discount will be available nationwide this summer, it's currently only available in Florida.

However, we're a little concerned about the people of Florida having easier access to alcohol. Sounds like a recipe for chaos.

A bird trained to tipoff drug dealers has been seized by police in Northern Brazil. It's not uncommon for people dealing in illegal substances to have some sort of early warning system to let them know if the authorities are approaching. Silent alarms, watchdogs and human guards are all common.
