Watch Alec Baldwin Read From The Parodic Trump Memoir 'You Can't Spell America Without Me'

'You Can't Spell America Without Me' — Alec Baldwin's parodic memoir of President Donald Trump — hits bookstores next Tuesday. But you can hear a snippet of the book today thanks to Jimmy Fallon, who invited Baldwin to read an excerpt from the fictional account of Trump's first year on office.

Stood against a fake backdrop of a bookstore as he reprised his caricature of the president to describe Trump's "smell test" for sniffing out successful people. "[There's a] certain aroma that winners have," Baldwin said. "It's a kind of peppermint, plus leather, plus electrical fire."

The excerpt will no doubt rankle Trump — especially since the president hates leakers. No word yet on whether or not he's called on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to charge Baldwin for divulging the memoir's contents.

Check out the rest of the reading in the clip above, where Baldwin also recounts how the parodic memoir came about.
