Actor Lakeith Stanfield Used To Work On A Marijuana Farm

After getting picked to play Snoop Dogg in 'Straight Outta Compton,' you probably assumed that actor Lakeith Stanfield smokes marijuana - to help get into character, if nothing else. But it turns out, the star of the new sci-fi comedy 'Sorry to Bother You' has done more than a little dabbling with cannabis.

Before breaking onto the big screen, Stanfield made ends meet by working on a marijuana farm in California for a few years, which left him with a new appreciation for nature.

"I realized that plants were actually beings, and they're beautiful," he told Jimmy Kimmel yesterday.

"So you were actually smoking them too?" Kimmel quipped.

"Yes," Stanfield confessed.
