1. Ralph Nader
Consumer Advocate & Former Presidential Candidate
As a political activist, author, lecturer, and attorney, Nader was honored by Time as, "One of the 100 Most Influential Americans of the 20th Century." He helped create the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency and the Consumer Product Safety Commission. He'll speak on the legal cannabis industry, deconstruct the complex problems it faces, and illustrate some solutions.
2. Betty Aldworth
Executive Director – Students for Sensible Drug Policy
In addition to her role as executive director of Students for Sensible Drug Policy, Aldworth was the spokesperson and advocacy director for Colorado's Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol. She served as deputy director of the National Cannabis Industry Association in 2013.
3. Alex Cooley
Co-Founder & Vice President – Solstice
Cooley is the co-founder and VP of Solstice, which brings together growers in Seattle for medical/legal recreational marijuana users. As part of the mission to be a positive catalyst in the cannabis industry and offer a new message about cannabis, Cooley uses environmentally responsible practices, serves as an adviser to Washington State, and is an advocate for patients' rights.
4. Amanda Reiman
Manager of Marijuana Law & Policy – Drug Policy Alliance
Reiman works on marijuana reform in the areas of litigation, legislative and initiative drafting, campaign strategy, policy advocacy, media relations, fundraising, and public education. She's behind numerous studies on medical marijuana dispensaries, patients and the use of marijuana as a treatment for addiction, and currently lectures at Berkeley.
5. Steve DeAngelo
CEO – Harborside Health Centre
We've had the pleasure of interviewing Steve DeAngelo, who founded Harborside Health Center in 2006 - now the largest medical cannabis dispensary in the United States. DeAngelo also co-founded the nation's first cannabis-testing facility, Steep Hill Labs, and the country's first cannabis investment and research firm, The Arc View Group.
6. Jennifer Martin
Martin won the 1998 SF Bay Area Cannabis Cup, and is a pioneer in the US cloning industry. As an independent cultivation consultant, her primary focus is creating the best possible indoor cultivation systems.
