5 True Facts That Sound Completely Fake

Mike the Headless Chicken, as the bird became known, lived for 18 months touring the United States without a head. Though this story certainly sounds like a legend told by a bored farmer, it is in fact true. This, in addition to several other known facts about the world, sounds fake but is in fact real. An unbelievable fact about silly putty, which was designed to stretch and shape like clay, will shatter if thrown from high enough. This was first tested during “The Great Silly Putty Drop” at Alfred University in 1989 to determine what would happen if a 100 pound ball of silly putty was dropped from the school’s Engineering Building. The ball shattered, just like your brain when you read these other facts.


After a battery of tests and misdiagnoses, I was finally diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease twelve years ago, and thus began a long battle with trial-and-error medical treatments.
