4 Ways To Ground Yourself When You’re Way Too High

Like all great vices, it’s possible to over do it even with our beloved cannabis. While the effects of consuming too much cannabis tend not to be as damaging as, say, consuming too much oxycontin (or even alcohol), it’s still good to know what you should do if you feel like you’ve gotten “too high”.

Here are 4 tips to get grounded when you feel like you’ve overdone it

  1. Drink lots of water. If you wait until you feel thirsty to drink, you’ve waited too long. Drinking water regulates your body temperature and other body functions. It’s always a good idea to consume lots of water, but especially if you feel too high.

  2. Meditate. Sometimes all it takes to shake off a feeling of being too high is to really concentrate, to focus your thoughts on a single item, and then to ruminate on that one item obsessively.

  3. Take a nap. If you feel too high sometimes the best bet is just to sleep it off.

  4. Stay way from coffee. The caffeine in coffee can compound the effects of other stimulants like THC. If you feel the need to ‘sober up’ from cannabis, coffee is not the solution.
